Money earmarked for the state’s 911 agencies is generated via a $.75 tax on prepaid phone sales – but despite the growth of those plans, funding dropped by $5 million in 2017. Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists.
