Today at 2:30 pm at the State Capitol Georgia Lottery Corp. President and CEO Gretchen Corbin will kick off a 25th anniversary event with special guest Gov. Nathan Deal. Especially celebrated will be 25 years of the lottery-funded HOPE scholarship and pre-kindergarten programs.The $19 billion-plus generated by lottery games since the first ticket was purchased when the late Zell Miller was governor have provided HOPE to over 1.8 million collage students. The revenue has also offered access to lottery-funded pre-k programs for over 1.4 million four-year-olds. Loeffler to head SBA
Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler was the latest Georgian to be tapped by President-elect Donald Trump for a key role in his upcoming administration, in this case to head up the Small Business Administration.
