Lawmakers were faced with deciding the fate of a number of education related bills on Crossover Day last Thursday.
One of the bills that came out of the House and could impact many Georgia high school students is HB 444 — which makes changes to Georgia’s dual enrollment program. This bill, sponsored by Rep. Bert Reeves (R-Marietta), would limit the number of credit hours the state would fund under the dual enrollment program to 30 per student. However, students could still pull from HOPE funds, if they choose to fund other dual enrollment classes.
