A report issued recently by the Georgia Hospital Association shows that Georgia’s 180-plus hospitals generate billions of dollars for the economy every year.
According to the latest GHA Annual Economic Impact Report, Georgia hospitals have a direct expenditure of over $23 billion and contributed over $54 billion to local and state economies. Hospitals also generate household earnings of over $22 billion, according to the report.
