In case you missed it, at least one candidate in the Democratic presidential primary – Bernie Sanders, has advocated for eliminating all student debt. The plan would forgive approximately $1.6 trillion in outstanding student loans. The measure was met with support from some quarters, skepticism in other, and outright derision from many on the right.
