If you reside in the Atlanta area, mark the date of Saturday, Sept. 7th on your calendar. It is a day when one can honor the memory of New York City firefighters, police officers and emergency medical responders. They gave their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 so that others could live— in this case, by participating in the Georgia 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Sovereign Building in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.
