Star Wars is all the rage right now with a new hit streaming show and the final film in the new trilogy (sadly not filmed here) set to come out next month. Georgia has its own little slice in a new Department of Defense cybersecurity office that opened its doors this week at the Georgia Cyber Center in Augusta. Dubbed “Tatooine,” the home planet of Luke Skywalker, the operation is a satellite office of the Pentagon that reports directly to the Secretary of Defense. The unit will serve as something of a strike force, taking on technical issues and coming up with quick solutions for troops actively on the battlefield.
