Tom Gehl, Director of Government Relations for the Georgia Municipal Association, sat down with Georgia CEO this week to discuss some of the pieces of legislation that his organization is addressing during the ongoing legislative session. The GMA believes that a pair of bills that would eliminate residential building design standards would be harmful to municipalities, instead giving more power to developers in determining how new construction looks and functions.
