Late last week, former State Representative Beth Beskin filed an appeal with the Georgia Supreme Court in her lawsuit that would force Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to call an election for the seat currently held by Justice Keith Blackwell. This follows an announcement by former Congressman John Barrow that he sought an expedited appeal in his bid for an open election in for the same judicial suit, and has filed a motion seeking the eight justices’ recusals.
