In ordinary times, NewTown Macon is a public-private partnership that looks to attract investment and focus in downtown Macon, reinvigorating the historic district. With COVID-19 throwing things for a loop, the group has recalibrated its efforts around making sure local small businesses have access to all the resources they need to weather the pandemic. Whether it’s federal programs like the Paycheck Protection Program or the Economic Disaster Injury Loan, listing local businesses still open to help them find customers, NewTown is working to make sure small businesses can get back to normal as soon as possible.
