A debate slugfest immediately breaks out between the panel’s liberals and conservatives over the conflict between Gov. Brian Kemp and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms over whether or not to have mandatory masking to address the coronavirus.
Focus then turns to how schools should reopen in the fall. And fireworks resume over the governor extending the deployment of 1,000 National Guard troops in Atlanta to maintain order in the aftermath of rioting and destruction. Finally, the panel addresses the political and legal problems of Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard as he faces an Aug. 11th runoff.
