Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler has a lot of questions about a proposed bill that would create a Chief Labor Officer who would “exercise the authority of the Commissioner of Labor in matters performed by the Commissioner.” And for an hour Wednesday he testified before a House committee, fielded questions from the members, and explained why this proposal was “not the answer.”
