Georgia has long been a hotspot for hosting youth sporting events, boasting facilities like the Lakepoint Sports Complex in Bartow County or the McAuley Aquatic Center at Georgia Tech, built for the 1996 Olympics. The $18 million facility includes basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor track, softball fields and more, and local Parks and Recreation officials say they hope it will help bring the community together in athletics.
