According to the Georgia Film Office there are currently 46 movies and tv shows in production statewide – the cries for boycotts over the state’s recently-passed election law appear to have fallen on deaf ears.  And it’s not just Atlanta getting in on the action, down in Glynn County on Georgia’s coast, county commissioners last week approved zoning for a new studio complex that will hold three 90,000-square-foot buildings just north of Brunswick.  The development will include everything production companies might need to film on Georgia’s coast – including a water tower and even townhomes.  Georgia’s film industry continues to blossom, and as more municipalities all across the state invest in it themselves, it’s looking like we’ll continue to see productions here for the foreseeable future.
