Congressman Austin Scott (R-GA-08) wants to ensure that combat disabled veterans are never forced to choose between the workforce or keeping their Social Security benefits. Late last week, Scott introduced The Purple Heart Freedom to Work Act (H.R. 3443) — legislation that he says will “incentivize employment, promotions, and career advancement without fear of losing disability benefits earned through service to the nation.”
