Over the weekend the national eviction moratorium ran out, but in DeKalb one judge made the call to keep theirs up and running.  DeKalb Chief Superior Court Judge Asha Jackson signed an emergency order extending the county’s ban on evictions for an additional 60 days.  That will allow county officials to continue to dole out federal rental assistance aid, which it has been very slow in distributing so far.  For DeKalb renters behind on bills, the news sees them RISING, but for landlords countywide who haven’t been paid for months already and have no recourse or ability to manage their own properties, the ship is very much SINKING…
