It may seem counterintuitive at first glance that the Georgia Beverage Association – which advocates in large part for soft drink giants like Coca-Cola – would be devoted to making sure the public has access to healthier drinks with less calories and sugar.  But that is exactly what it is doing, pushing low calorie options like Coke Zero and offering more drink choices with less sugar to students.

As part of that effort the GBA has partnered with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation for the Balance Calories Initiative, which continues to shift the market towards healthier beverage options.
