There’s another candidate in the race for Georgia’s Secretary of State. Michael Owens, a cybersecurity executive from Cobb County and a Marine Corp veteran, announced late last week that he will seek the Democratic nomination for the seat. He joins a growing field, including Democrats State Rep. Bee Nguyen of Atlanta, former Fulton County Commission chair John Eaves, and former Milledgeville mayor and state Sen. Floyd L. Griffin Jr.

Republicans who have already said they are in the race are incumbent Brad Raffensperger, U.S. Rep. Jody Hice, former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle, and T.J. Hudson of Treutlen County.
