It’s well known that Georgia is a top producer of crops like peanuts, peaches, and cotton, but fewer know that the state is ranked number four in the nation for fresh market vegetable production.  Bell peppers, sweet corn, onions, and much more fresh produce is grown here in the Peach State, and experts like University of Georgia Department of Horticulture Professor of Horticulture Dr. Timothy Coolong work hand in hand with farmers to make sure the industry stays strong as it moves further into the 21st century.
