The race for an open seat in Georgia’s statewide races always draws a big crowd of candidates. This year is no different, especially when it comes to the Lt. Governor’s race. Ten Democrats and four Republicans are in the race to replace incumbent Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan. One of those Republicans is Mack McGregor, who says he is not a politician and will stand for “God, family, country and the great State of Georgia.”
“What the career politicians seem to forget is the fact that they work for the people, not the other way around,” says McGregor. “I’m tired of paying people to tell me how to live, what I can do or can’t do, and constantly pushing us beyond our means of living.”
He describes himself as a husband, father and grandfather. US. Marine from 1990 to 1993. He currently serves as a supervisor at a major manufacturing plant. And “believes in the Bible and the Constitution.”
McGregor lists three key points or messages of his campaign:
● End the communist overreach of the federal government.
● End the corruption of the Good Ole Boys system in Georgia.
● Demand a full forensic audit in Georgia.
According to McGregor, he is focused on protecting the people of Georgia in all aspects. “Less government, less taxes and letting the people have more responsibilities for themselves,” he says. “It’s not up to the Government to tell people what to do or how they should do it. People shouldn’t have to ask the government for permission.” He goes on to say that he sees corruption and the federal overreach as the state’s greatest challenges over the next decade.
“When it comes to passing laws in Georgia, I want full transparency,” McGregor says on his website. “Let the people of Georgia make their decision if its right for Georgia or not, as long as it is Constitutional.”
On his website, Mc Gregor says as Lt. Governor of Georgia he wants to:
● Get rid of sanctuary cities for harboring illegals.
● Get rid of CRT in our education system.
● FIX our judicial system
● Call for a Forensic Audit in all 159 counties for illegal activity.
● Investigate DFCS/CPS. activities.
● Fix the laws on voting and create a fail-proof system for fair and fraud-free elections.
● End all illegal mandates and
● Bring back God, Family and County, starting with Georgia.
“The list is long with so many more questions than answers,” he says on the campaign website. “As soon as I get elected, we are going to get right to it and find the wasteful spending and eliminate it. I want to cut taxes and put the money back into the hands of the great people of Georgia, not into the pockets of the politicians.”
