Georgia attorney Courtney Kramer yesterday sent a letter to the state Elections Board (SEB) to request “an immediate investigation into the actions and review of documents and communications” related to the “Request for Consideration” presented to the Fulton County elections board by the Carter Center in coordination with the Secretary of State’s office regarding the November 8th county elections.

Kramer’s letter asks the SEB to “terminate any and all relations with The Carter Center” and not allow any reports or observations submitted to the SEB or the Secretary of State’s performance review board “to have any controlling authority or influence in decisions” made related to actions by the Fulton Board of Elections.

Furthermore, Kramer asks the SEB “to forbid any observation” by international Carter Center “observers” on Election Day, including access to any or all ballots. “If the SEB feels as though this is too late of a demand, I ask that access from TCC observers is limited to the same access as a poll watcher and no further invasive accessibility allowed,” she writes.

Kramer’s letter also criticizes the lack of transparency over how this agreement was concluded between the Carter Center, the Fulton Board of Elections (chaired by longtime Democrat Cathy Woolard) and the Secretary of State’s office.

“Per Georgia Election Code,” Kramer says “there are also absolutely no provisions for a body of international election observers who claim a global code of conduct through the auspices of the United Nations to have such vast access in the State of Georgia. There are no provisions for an organization or corporation outside of a political party, political body, or a candidate specified in GA Code 21-2-408 & 21-2-386.”

As this is written, Kramer hasn’t yet received a reply from the SEB chaired by Judge William Duffey.
