This weekend’s weather forecast calls for rain in Augusta, but that won’t dampen the spirits of locals on the city’s biggest week of the year.  The Masters is back, which means a major economic windfall for Augusta as it becomes the center of the sporting world for four (in this case damp) days.  The Augusta Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates that the city brings in more than $36 million worth of revenue during Masters week, with a total economic impact of nearly $110 million.  Many restaurants and hotels say they do about 10% of their annual business during this one week alone.  And some 3,000 Augusta families go on vacation themselves – renting out their homes to visitors for big bucks, with a fee going back to the Masters Housing Bureau.
