Paige Pushkin of the Georgia Foundation for Public Education, an arm of the Dept. of Education, talks about the unique way Georgians can support educational initiatives important to them using the PEACH Education Tax Credit.
Formerly known as the Qualified Education Donation tax credit, PEACH allows individuals and corporations to send $1,000 of your state income tax to the Georgia Foundation for Public Education, where it will be used for innovation in the classroom with an emphasis on the lowest 5% performing schools.
The credit is capped at $5 million and is approved on a first-come, first-served basis. If interested you can apply HERE.
