U.S. Rep Andrew Clyde, R-GA, led 65 House Republican colleagues in demanding that the Department of Veterans Affairs apologize and take down a press release that claims the GOP’s debt limit bill would harm military veterans. In the letter to VA Secretary Denis McDonough, Clyde expressed outrage over the VA’s false claims that House Republicans’ Limit, Save, Grow Act cuts veterans’ benefits and called the statement an attempt to “despicably fear-monger” over their legislation.

Dozens of House Republicans joined Clyde’s efforts, including Georgia delegation members, Rep. Rick Allen, Rep. Drew Ferguson, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Barry Loudermilk and Rep. Rich McCormick.
