Several members of Georgia’s congressional delegation played a key role in the battle against Fentanyl as co-sponsors of the Halt All Lethal Trafficking of Fentanyl (HALT) Act. Rep. Rick Allen (R-GA) and Rep. Buddy Carter, (R-GA) were co-sponsors of the legislation that passed the U.S. House of Representatives late last week.

Allen and Carter both praised the passage of HALT which they say will permanently schedule fentanyl-related substances as schedule 1 drugs, giving law enforcement the proper tools to fight the illicit fentanyl poisoning epidemic.
