Three newly-appointed Senate Study Committees are ready to get to work after appointments by Lt. Gov. Burt Jones. The committees, which were all created by legislation during the 2023 session of the General Assembly, will look at Local Option Sales Tax, Truck Driver Shortages and Rural Medical Personnel Recruitment.
Senate Majority Caucus Chairman Jason Anavitarte (R–Dallas) will chair the study committee tasked with recruiting and retaining truck driver across the state.
