Valdosta State University is one of the Georgia schools at the center of the ongoing discussion around rural economic development in the state.  The university recently hosted its second annual Rural Development Institute, bringing together local officials, economic and workforce development officials, tourism experts, and more to learn about the issues facing rural communities and best steps to confront them.
