The Georgia Council for Recovery is kicking off a bus tour that they believe will fulfill their vision and carry the message that recovery is real in Georgia. Wednesday key leaders and stakeholders announced the launch of “The Mobilize Recovery Across Georgia Bus Tour” which will visit 48 communities across Georgia in September during National Recovery Month.

According to data released at the virtual kickoff, more than 800,000 Georgians are currently living in long-term recovery from substance use disorder. Mobilize Recovery Across Georgia is designed to bring Georgians together to celebrate recovery, educate individuals on harm reduction and recovery resources, and show Georgia that “Recovery is Real.” This bus tour is expected to bring together Georgia’s policy makers, local community leaders, and the 800,000-strong Georgia Recovery Community.
