The Atlanta Office of the Inspector General raised eyebrows this month when it released a report digging into spending practices by Mayor Andre Dickens.  The basis of the report revolves around some $120,000 spent on the city’s ‘Senior Ball’ at the Hyatt Regency downtown, labeled as a “professional courtesy” and went in part towards alcohol, room service and rooms for some of Dickens’ family members.  The investigation also turned up 11 more instances of payments labeled as “professional courtesy.”  Dickens says he will address the concerns and repay the city for the hotel rooms but a whiff of some of the ‘financial indiscretions’ that have plagued Atlanta mayors in the past has his ship DRIFTING…
