Most Georgia residents have heard of – and taken advantage of – the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday which is held in July and allows shoppers to purchase certain school supplies, clothing, and computers tax-free. Wednesday, state Sen. Jason Anavitarte, R-Dallas, announced his plans to introduce the “Second Amendment Tax Holiday Act,” during the upcoming legislative session. His announcement came as the state prepared to kick off the start of Georgia’s Whitetail Deer hunting season.
