In other election news this week, the Atlanta Regional Commission Board (ARC) elected Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens to serve as the chair of the board on Wednesday, with a two year term beginning in January. Dickens election marks the first time an Atlanta mayor will serve as chair of the board in the more than 75 year history of the ARC.

“Mayor Dickens is a strong leader and fierce advocate for the Atlanta region,” said ARC Executive Director & CEO Anna Roach. “All of us at ARC look forward to working closely with him and the rest of our board to build a better, brighter future for all residents.”
