In an effort to address workforce shortages in certain career fields across the state, Gov. Brian Kemp and state lawmakers in 2022 created the High Demand Career Initiative Program, representing a historic investment in apprenticeships in Georgia. Wednesday, officials with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) announced a second round of awards – supporting Georgia businesses with the creation and expansion of Registered Apprenticeships.

These awards represent the first part of the state’s annual investment of more than $1 million into apprenticeships for Georgia’s workforce and business community.
