A Senate study committee tasked with looking at the critical shortage of truck drivers across the state held its final meeting this week and presented recommendations for the upcoming legislative session. The committee was established by Senate Resolution 155 and chaired by Sen. Jason Anavitarte, R–Dallas. It was formed in response to the growing truck driver shortages that are affecting industries across Georgia.
The committee played a key role in facilitating dialogue among stakeholders, industry leaders, and educators throughout several meetings during the off-session.
