Georgia is not alone in its challenges of growing the pipeline of healthcare professionals. Nationally, an average of 193,100 openings for registered nurses is projected annually over the next decade. In an effort to begin addressing this shortage, the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) has teamed with the Georgia Nurses Foundation (GNF) and Amerigroup Georgia to provide scholarships to students across 10 different rural-based technical colleges where the demand for qualified nurses is particularly urgent.

The scholarship program will award 10 scholarships, worth $2,700 each, designed to enhance access to care, and improve health outcomes for more Georgians.
