A bill and Constitutional Amendment that would give local Boards of Education in high growth areas the authority to impose impact fees is making its way through the Georgia General Assembly. Companion bills were introduced in both the House and Senate. The House bill, HB 585, by Rep. Greg Dolezal, R-Cumming, passed and is now headed to the House Governmental Affairs Committee.
