The May 26th show opens with analysis of some primary elections, with emphasis on wins by Fulton County DA Fani Willis, Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee and Supreme Court Justice Andrew Pinson. Debate also occurs over President Joe Biden’s Morehouse speech. Other topics include a resignation & addition to the State Elections Board, as well as a city of Atlanta inspector general’s report critical of nepotism and lack of departmental cooperation.
Atlanta snubbed for ’28 DNC Convention
The City of Atlanta and the Georgia Democratic Party made a strong push to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, but fell short once again when it was announced that Boston, Denver and Philadelphia are the three finalists. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens blasted the decision, accusing the DNC of “abandoning Atlanta, abandoning the South, and once again abandoning Black voters.” The snub has Georgia Dems SINKING…
