As we approach the closing hours of the 2024 Presidential campaign, virtually all voters in Georgia and across this nation have their most vital, personal issues in the back of their minds.
Whether it be the economy, an open border, abortion rights, global conflicts, unsafe cities or progressive social policies, there really are two views of how we live in this world that will determine how you cast your vote for President of the United States.
Do you believe the United States should continue to operate under capitalism where every single resident has the opportunity to prosper with hard work?
Or do you see a need for a socialist/communist system where income is redistributed by government programs and regulations and hard work is meaningless because of a so-called need for equity? In other words, as the founder of communism Karl Marx wrote: from each according to his ability and each according to his need.
This election is nothing short of capitalism vs. communism.
Your second choice is law and order versus criminal chaos which will accompany those who have been trying the last four years to overthrow capitalism and enact a new social, economic and government structure.
With these stark options on the table, it becomes abundantly clear that those who want to preserve society and a sane system of order — from economic opportunity to safer neighborhoods – will vote for Donald J. Trump as the 47th President.
For those who long for systems that mimic the old Soviet Union, East Germany, Venezuela and even modern-day Cuba, the clear choice is Kamala Harris, a candidate whose father was a Jamaican economist fixated on equity in the marketplace.
But such government controls that mimic Marx have been nothing but disastrous for humanity throughout the last two centuries — ranging from untold poverty across the globe to civil strife. For example, just this past week Cubans endured a nationwide blackout. Parts of the tropical island have been subject to near-endless blackouts on a daily basis for years with a failing electrical grid. Those connected to the Castro regiment and the wealthy have generators and have not been subject to such misery.
Due to uncontrolled money printing and deficit spending, hyperinflation in socialist Venezuela has caused not only economic collapse, political uprising and contested elections but more than 8 million residents to flee for North America and Europe since 2015. Criminal gangs and gang members have been set loose and made their way to our country.
And here in the United States, policies by the Biden-Harris Administration have failed to enforce border security, enforce crime and undermined the jobs of local police including passive support of leaders defunding police departments.
As a result, crime is on the rise. The FBI just two weeks ago had to reverse course and has now reversed numbers for 2022, showing an increase in violent crime across the country not a decrease in crime. This includes rapes, murders, assaults and other violent crimes.
You really know the character of a candidate and who they are not by slogans, TV ads or campaign promises. Harris was supportive of violent protestors during the George Floyd riots of 2020. In contrast, President Trump walked out of the White House unafraid of lawless rioters and stood in front of a nearby church holding up his Bible.
As Americans, we fought a Revolution to break free from an oppressor, King George, to form our nation in 1776. There is nothing oppressive about our current Republic, capitalism, the ability to make a successful life for you and your family and live in peace.
Those wanting to overthrow our government and society can waste their vote on Harris, but the people have had enough and will vote for opportunity over oppression, safety over crime, freedom over tyranny.
