JAMES Publisher Phil Kent presents the 2024 ‘Top Registered Lobbyist’ award to GeorgiaLink’s Skin Edge – photo credit: Jason Locklear
JAMES Magazine is the only Georgia media outlet that encourages readers to vote online to rank Georgia’s 1,000-plus registered lobbyists. A bipartisan group including top state legislators, along with prominent business people, also advises on the listing. Many of these lobbyists are involved in public policy issues that require working with public servants ranging from members of the General Assembly to state, county and city officials as well as agency heads.
Our statewide magazine published its “2024 Top Lobbyists” rankings in its Sept.-October issue and, at a January 22nd reception at Atlanta’s Millennium Gate Museum, JAMES CEO and Publisher Phil Kent presented awards to the recipients.
In coming days, JAMES Magazine Online will continue to salute all the award winners.
Featured today is veteran lobbyist Arthur “Skin” Edge of GeorgiaLink Public Affairs. A graduate of both the University of Georgia (BBA 1977) and the UGA Law School (JD 1980). Before becoming a lobbyist, he served in the Georgia Senate from 1986-1996 and was Senate Minority Leader from 1992-96. He was ranked No. 1 of Georgia’s “100 Top Registered Lobbyists” and was presented his award by Kent.
