Gov. Brian Kemp still has about three weeks to sign or veto bills that passed during the legislative session. One that’s getting a lot of notice is Senate Bill 144, which would protect agrochemical companies from lawsuits regrading chemicals in their products. But trial lawyers group the American Association for Justice is running ads saying that Chinese companies like ChemChina are behind the bill, and urging Kemp to veto it. Stockbridge City Council votes to oust mayor
The Stockbridge City Council voted Saturday to remove 23-year-old Mayor Jayden Williams from office, citing allegations of unauthorized spending on city cards, impeding investigations, and engaging in sexual misconduct with a high school student he “mentored.” Williams can appeal the decision to the Henry County Superior Court, but it seems assured that his political career is SINKING…
