Christmas for campaign consultants

The shocking announcement that Gov. Brian Kemp would not be running for U.S. Senate next year sent shockwaves through the state’s political ecosystem, and nobody is happier than the political consultants who help manage campaigns.  At least four sitting congressmen are rumored to be eyeing the seat, and if and when some of them jump into the race it will kick off campaigns for their seats, mostly filled by sitting state legislators.  As those campaigns fill up then races to fill the open state legislative seats will kick off, in turn.  That’s a lot of campaigns!  And for those who make their money running them the scramble has their next couple of years RISING…
