Upson County Probate Judge Danielle McRae resigned this week amidst an investigation from the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission, and a looming one from the GBI. Alleged wrongdoings include using her county-issued purchasing card for personal items, chronic absences from court, having improper communications with attorneys regarding cases and lying to investigators. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU.
