Senate Bill 244, which allows criminal defendants to recoup their legal costs from county prosecuting attorneys’ budgets in cases where the prosecutor is disqualified for personal or professional misconduct, has been signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp. Carr joins LSU football fight
In the South, college football is religion – and now it’s politics too. Members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are furious with LSU over its attempts to sign players already in the NFL to come back to college to play for the Tigers. On Wednesday, Attorney General Chris Carr, (presumably at the behest of some big names at UGA) urged the SEC to take “all measures available” against LSU.
