An ambitious downtown Atlanta highway capping project dubbed ‘The Stitch’ is at risk following the news that a $157.6 million federal grant meant to fund the first phase of its construction is no longer included in the proposed congressional budget.  The project seeks to build 14 acres of park over the downtown connector, bringing together two sides of the city with the interstate running underneath.  But the Stitch, like many expensive transportation projects nationwide, is on the chopping block as the Trump Administration looks to find ways to cut spending.  Its future is DRIFTING…
