An ambitious downtown Atlanta highway capping project dubbed ‘The Stitch’ is at risk following the news that a $157.6 million federal grant meant to fund the first phase of its construction is no longer included in the proposed congressional budget. The project seeks to build 14 acres of park over the downtown connector, bringing together two sides of the city with the interstate running underneath. Could Paramount be coming to Georgia?
Paramount Skydance, one of the biggest and most prominent entertainment companies in the world, is furious at its home state of California over a lawsuit filed by the state’s attorney general attempting to stop a merger. In response, Chair David Ellison has threatened to move from Los Angeles to a state not actively suing his company, and Georgia was on the shortlist of possibilities. Gov.
