GOP notches another win in Fulton elections case

Republicans are celebrating another legal victory in the Fulton County Board of Elections case. Senior Superior Court Judge David Emerson has denied a stay requested by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and has demanded they seat the duly appointed Republican members of the county Election Board. This comes a little more than a week after Judge Emerson ordered the Commissioners to appoint two Republican-nominated individuals to the county’s elections board despite earlier efforts by commissioners to block them.

Emerson presided over the case after all Fulton County Superior Court Judges recused themselves.
