Over the next 10 years, Georgia Power expects up to 9,400 MW of load growth, largely driven by increased development and data centers. Congressman Buddy Carter, R-GA, sees American natural gas as a clean, reliable, and affordable solution to this problem.

Last week, Carter hosted a roundtable with American Petroleum Institute (API) to examine ways the federal government can help alleviate the increase in forecasted demand for Georgia’s energy grid.
