Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia are coming together to establish a new economic development partnership meant to stimulate growth in the automotive and battery industry across the region. The Mississippi-Alabama-Georgia Network for Evolving Transportation (MAGNET) will be headquartered at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, creating a hub for research and development for mobility innovation. The University of Georgia and Mississippi State University are also part of the partnership. UGA already has years of experience and dedicated resources in the electric vehicle space that can brought to the table.
