One of the breakout stars of this summer’s FIFA World Cup was “Freddy,” the German soccer fan who traveled the country, documenting his visit and capturing the hearts of Americans with his wide-eyed appreciation of Southern cultural landmarks like Buc-ee’s, Waffle House, and the north Georgia town of Helen.
