The Georgia Supreme Court this week heard arguments in a disbarment case relating to an Atlanta immigration lawyer accused of abandoning his clients, eventually leading to their deportation. Atlanta attorney Christopher Taylor is alleged to have taken thousands of dollars from his clients to fight on their behalf in federal immigration courts, but according to the State Bar didn’t advocate for them, at times not showing up to court or even meet with his clients. Bottoms ignored metro Atlanta counties
It’s shocking to learn that former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms never became a board member of the Atlanta Regional Commission because she never attended a single ARC board meeting during her tenure. Beyond missing the board meetings, the Democrat also refused to join ARC’s regional leadership visits to other metropolitan areas to examine city planning and technical infrastructure best practices. This contrasts sharply with her successor, Mayor Andre Dickens. He engaged with the bipartisan commission and later became ARC board chairman, emphasizing a desire for closer regional connectivity. A spokesman for Democrats for Jackson (GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson) queries: “She could care less about metro Atlanta but now she wants to be governor?” Bottoms is SINKING…
