Open Hand Atlanta is a nonprofit that provides meals for individuals in need who have nutrition-sensitive illnesses. Founded in 1988 as a way for the community to help provide for victims of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, today it is one of the largest community-based providers of medically tailored meals in the U.S.
CEO Matt Pieper sat down with our friends at Georgia CEO recently to talk about the organization moving into its new headquarters in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood, where the nonprofit will have more space and better facilities to be able to help even more Georgians in need.
