Georgia's Republican delegation is urging Democratic Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to “stop playing (that) game and join us in ending this shutdown.” In a letter to the two Senators, the delegation said, “the Senate is choosing to play a partisan game at the expense of everyday Americans. The needs of Georgia families and farmers are far too urgent to be caught in the crossfire of partisan gamesmanship. Our duty is to our shared Georgia constituents, and we must act together for their own good.”

Congressman Andrew Clyde spoke on the letter Tuesday. “This inaction has real consequences for Georgia families and hardworking Americans. Food assistance, veterans' benefits, and vital support for women and children have been disrupted, while federal employees and service members now face uncertainty over their paychecks and livelihood.”
